There are moments in life that when reflected upon at a later point, you realize that it was a turning point. For my career, that was the COVID-19 pandemic. As a Freshman in high school, I had no idea what my future looked like or what I wanted to do. I grew up loving racing and motorsports but never saw myself with a career in it. For the longest time I wanted to be a meteorologist but I decided that it wasn't the direction I wanted to move toward for my adult life.
COVID was that turning point for me as my time spent at home was learning how to use programs to do graphic design work for the racing simulator program of iRacing. I did these cars for a mix of people who were real racecar drivers and virtual drivers. Over the next two years, I learned how to use the programs of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Blender, to expand upon my capabilities and grow my business of Running's Racing Designs.
2022 was a standout year as it was the year of my first on-track design and since then, I have worked predominantly in the NASCAR owned ARCA Menards Series, a national touring series. I spent 2023 traveling to every ARCA race doing a bunch of different jobs such as PR manager, photographer, and spotter while at the track. Through the week, I was working on many projects for teams and drivers, designing cars, social media graphics, and any other piece they needed designed. At the end of 2023, I made a jump to Grand Rapids, Michigan, where I took a job at a motorsports based vinyl installation shop. During my tenure here, I learned how to wrap cars, use a CNC machine to produce signs/trophies, and learned how to work with a team to meet common goals. I was also still building my company during this time by traveling to ARCA races when my schedule allowed.
Fast forward to 2025, I am once again solely focused on my Running's Racing Design LLC., traveling as a videographer/photographer, along with still doing all of my graphic design work on a higher scale. Since 2022, I have had nearly 40 on track designs, driver suits/crew shirts, 300+ of social media graphics, and nearly a thousand various projects, with these numbers growing by the year. 2026 is already shaping up to be my biggest year yet and I am working hard every single day to grow RRD into a larger force into the motorsports world, using the work ethic that was instilled in me at a young age by my parents, by creating works of the highest quality, attention to detail, and by treating everyone that I work with/for with the right way.
